What Noēs is

Noēs is a mathematics tutoring platform. A guide named Aby teaches through questions rather than by giving answers directly, so a learner arrives at understanding themselves. Noēs is intended to be set up and supervised by a parent, tutor, or other responsible adult on behalf of a child, or used directly by an adult learner.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account, and you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us immediately at the email below.

Plans and billing

Noēs offers a Free tier and paid tiers (Pro, Max, MaxPro, Luminary) with different monthly question limits, as described on our pricing page. Paid tier billing and payment processing are not yet live; pricing and limits are subject to change before paid plans launch, and we will communicate any changes to existing paid subscribers before they take effect.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Noēs for any purpose other than personal or educational tutoring use.
• Attempt to access another account or child's data without authorization.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service, including automated scraping or excessive requests intended to circumvent question limits.
• Submit content that is unlawful, harmful, or that violates the rights of others.

Content and ownership

You retain ownership of the content a child submits during sessions. Discovery moments captured in the Book of Understanding are the child's own words, preserved for the account holder — Noēs does not claim ownership over them, and does not use them to train third-party AI models.

Aby is a teaching tool, not a substitute for a teacher or professional

Aby is an AI system designed to support mathematical understanding through guided questioning. Like any AI system, Aby's responses may occasionally be imperfect. Noēs is a supplement to, not a replacement for, a child's regular education, and parents and tutors are encouraged to remain involved in a child's learning.

Availability

We aim to keep Noēs available and working well, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to pause the service for maintenance, or in rare cases due to issues with our infrastructure or AI providers.

Termination

You may stop using Noēs and close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Limitation of liability

Noēs is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do, and will notify account holders of any material change.
